Pay your deposit

Submit your deposit through your Application Dashboard within 5 days of acceptance. For non-scholarship applicants only.

Upon acceptance, you will be prompted to pay the $1,000 non-refundable deposit in the Application Dashboard. The deposit must be paid with a credit card within five business days after acceptance.

Pay your balance

Pay your remaining balance by March 5, 2025. You may make payments in any amount at any time before the deadline through your Student Portal. For non-scholarship applicants only.

After you’ve paid the non-refundable deposit through your Application Dashboard, you will pay the remaining balance through your Student Portal. Those who apply after Wednesday, March 5, 2025 must pay all tuition and fees in full within five business days after acceptance. Credit cards are the preferred method of payment. Complete forms & documents

Complete Admitted Student Checklist items

Available mid-February. Access your checklist on your Application Dashboard. Complete all items by April 2, 2025.

Required checklist items must be completed and submitted through your Application Dashboard. You will not be able to attend classes until all required forms have been signed and submitted.

Requirements include:

  • Consent to Treat and Transport (parent/guardian signature required)
  • Counseling Services Consent (parent/guardian signature required)
  • FERPA Consent
  • Photo Release (parent/guardian signature required)
  • Student Conduct Agreement (parent/guardian signature required)
  • Student ID Photo Submission

Submit health & vaccination requirements

Health Services Portal opens March 12, 2025. Complete all requirements by April 2, 2025.

The forms in the Health Services Portal require extensive health information, a healthcare provider’s authorization and signature, and immunization records. Review this information promptly so that you can return the forms by the due date. In compliance with HIPAA, health forms must be uploaded to the Health Services Portal; please do not email them. If you have any questions regarding the required health forms, contact Health Services at health@risd.edu.

Health requirements for admitted students:

  • Immunization Records (health provider signature required); a positive titer value for any of these diseases is acceptable, if applicable:
    • adult dose of tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (Tdap) — one (1) dose within previous 10 years
    • mumps, measles and rubella (MMR) — two (2) doses or proof of immunity via titer
    • hepatitis B — three (3) doses or proof of immunity via titer
    • varicella — two (2) doses or proof of immunity via titer
    • meningococcal ACYW — one (1) dose; 2nd dose required if over the age of 16
  • Tuberculosis (TB) screening test if deemed necessary by TB questionnaire, with health provider signature
  • Completed health forms on the Health Services Portal (to be accessed in spring)
    • Privacy Statement and Patient Bill of Rights
    • Confidentiality and Consent to Treat
    • Health History
    • Student Demographics and Emergency Contact Form
    • Tuberculosis (TB) Questionnaire
    • Consent to Treat for Minors

Apply for housing

Housing Application Portal opens March 12, 2025. Application due April 2, 2025. Residential students only.

You’ll receive an email with information about the housing application, as well as other important documents like the Weekend Away and Early Arrival forms.

Residence Life Pre-College Housing: Includes Pre-College housing timeline and a link to view video tours of the first-year area.

Roommates: One of the most valuable parts of the Pre-College experience is making new connections. To nurture new friendships, roommates are assigned based on the lifestyle preferences shared in your housing application. We do not give the option of requesting a specific roommate. Due to the short nature of the program, room change requests will not be available.
