You will access these dashboards and portals multiple times leading up to the start of Pre-College. Keep track of your login information and read all emails. Check your spam folder regularly and add these email addresses to your contacts: precollege@risd.edu, precollegehousing@risd.edu, risdce@risd.edu, servicedesk@risd.edu and health@risd.edu.

Used for Application Dashboard

You used the Application Dashboard and your Application Login to apply to the program. You will continue to use the Application Dashboard to make your non-refundable deposit (if you’re a non-scholarship applicant). This is also where you’ll complete and submit all forms and documents seen on the dashboard’s Admitted Student Checklist.

Forgot your password? Select “Forgot your Password?” on the Application Dashboard login page and follow the instructions to reset your password.

Used for Student Portal

The Student Portal offers secure and reliable access to final grades, unofficial transcripts, account payments and balances.

Shortly after being admitted and submitting your deposit, the primary email address on file will receive an automated email (from risdce@risd.edu, subject line “Welcome to RISD! – Student Profile Information”) with a temporary username to log in to the Student Portal. The temporary username will consist of the letter ‘X’ followed by a series of numbers.

Follow the directions to create a password and change your username to something that is more easily remembered.

If the password reset link has expired, follow these steps:

• Visit the Student Portal login screen.
• Click “Forgot Password”.
• Enter the username referenced above when prompted, and then click “Continue”.
• Look for an email with a password reset link, and follow the instructions.

If you already have a Continuing Education student account with us or have previously attended RISD Pre-College, you may not receive the automated email. Log in to your Student Portal using your existing username and password.

Beginning February 19, 2025 you will receive two email notifications from RISD Information Technology Services (ITS, servicedesk@risd.edu) regarding your RISD Account Login.

• The first email (subject line: “RISD Username”) will contain important information about your RISD Account login credentials.
• The second email (subject line: “RISD Password and Resource Information”) will follow with a randomly generated password and more information about the resources and services available to you.

The two emails described above will be sent to the student’s primary email address. They will not be sent to a parent/guardian email. If you do not receive these emails within 48 hours, check your spam folder or email the IT Service Desk at servicedesk@risd.edu.
